Ich zitterte vor Wut. Ich konnte die Lügen, die sie mir erzählte, nicht glauben. Max schien seine Mutter geliebt zu haben, so mitfühlend und liebevoll sprach er von ihr. Ich blieb still.

„Deshalb muss mein Sohn König sein. Ich gebe dir alles, was du willst, wenn du mir hilfst. Ich kann dir mehr Besitztümer geben, als du zählen kannst. Ich kann den Status des gesamten Roten Rudels erhöhen. Ich kann alles tun.“

Ich spürte, wie ich Kopfschmerzen bekam, und rieb mir die Schläfen. Ich konnte einfach nicht glauben, dass sie hier war, um mich gegen Max aufzubringen, nachdem ich am Tag zuvor so unhöflich gewesen war.
