Chapter 7 Marriage Contract
Laura was sent to the countryside when she was young. Her grandfather moved with her to keep her company. After her grandfather passed away, she was left alone. She always carried important documents such as her ID card and household registration book with her.
On the way to the Civil Affairs Bureau, Laura was in a trance. Everything seemed like a dream, and it was progressing too fast. Although the future of this marriage is still unclear, it is a major decision in life for any woman. She couldn't help but wonder, if her grandfather were alive and knew her decision, would he blame her?
She looked sideways at the man who was driving the car. He was wearing a hand-made black suit, one hand gently holding the steering wheel, revealing a valuable watch, and his eyes were firm and deep. His face was still as calm as water, as if he was not going to get a marriage certificate, but to negotiate a business.
