FIONA'S STANDPUNT

Ik verontschuldigde me uit de woonkamer, voelde de last van de situatie zwaar op mijn schouders. Ik kon niet geloven dat mijn ouders bereid waren mijn geluk op te offeren voor hun eigen gewin. Ik wist dat ik dingen moest overdenken en een plan moest bedenken. Ik ging naar mijn kamer en deed de deur achter me op slot, ik had wat tijd alleen nodig om alles te verwerken.

Terwijl ik op mijn bed zat, raasden mijn gedachten, en ik kon het niet helpen om aan Aiden en zijn bekentenis te denken. Ik wist dat ik mijn privéleven niet in de weg mocht laten staan van de situatie, maar het was moeilijk om niet aan Aiden en wat hij tegen me had gezegd te denken. Ik kon niet ontkennen dat ik gevoelens voor hem had, maar ik kon ook niet ontkennen dat mijn ouders me onder druk zetten om te trouwen voor hun eigen bestwil. Ik moest snel een plan bedenken.
