Since Zachary and I confirmed our relationship, I have made his birthday cake every year. I have seen the cartoon image on his phone, which is Luna's WeChat avatar.

The living room fell silent. I nodded as Zachary belatedly realized that he had proposed an unreasonable task.

"Send me the pictures. I'm going out to buy the ingredients now." If it weren't for Zachary, I would never have been able to get out of that dinner seven years ago. After making this cake, I really don't owe him anything.

Seeing my lonely back walking towards the door, Zachary called me in surprise. I didn't turn around, but just asked, "Anything else you want to tell me?"

".....I've transferred the money for the materials to you."

I opened the chat room with Zachary after getting on the elevator . It was funny to find that I had sent him 5,363 messages in total and he had replied to 25 of them.

A notification sound came from the living room, announcing that the 100,000 yuan transfer had been returned. Zachary couldn't help but clench his phone.

At 8pm that evening I received a call from Zachary. "Where are you, Lena?"

I was eating at a noodle restaurant near my home, so I didn’t answer him directly, but just asked, “What’s up?”

The man said softly, "It's okay. I just wanted to tell you that the cake you made is as delicious as always." After a pause, he added in a low voice, "Thank you for your hard work."

Before I could reply, Luna 's sweet voice rang out, " Sister Lena . I heard from Zachary that you made my birthday cake today. Is that true? Oh my God, sister, you are really amazing. Unlike me, who is clumsy and always gets called a little fool by Zachary."

The second after Luna invited me to her birthday party, Zachary's voice appeared again. "Lena, you don't have to come." The man hung up the phone.

However, within a few minutes, he sent me his location and a message: [When you come over, bring a bag of tomato chips to Xiaoyue at a nearby convenience store]

When I opened the door of the private room , Zachary was feeding Luna cake. The man's eyes were filled with displeasure when he saw me. I knew that the location and text message were sent by Luna , but I still came.

I heard Luna call me sister-in-law with a sweet smile. Zachary glared at me coldly: "Didn't I tell you not to come?"

"I'm sorry, Zachary. I just wanted to eat potato chips, so I tricked Sister Lena into coming here." Seeing Luna pouting in grievance, Zachary rubbed her hair lovingly and called her in a low voice, "Little greedy cat."

Realizing that the man was in a good mood, I immediately took out my resignation letter. " Zachary , a colleague has to leave urgently because of family matters. Please approve it."

In theory, the resignation application process should be formally approved and handled by the company's human resources department. However, when the human resources manager saw that the applicant was me, he returned the form without hesitation.

The lights in the box were particularly dim, and Zachary was concentrating on flirting with Luna. As I expected, he didn't pay attention to the name on the form, and didn't even glance at it, and he signed his name readily.
