Thinking of this, I accidentally dropped my chopsticks on the ground, and tried to pick them up with trembling fingertips. When I straightened up, Zachary had already walked out of the entrance. Without even turning his head, he left a sentence: "Something urgent happened at the company. I'll take you next time." Then he left in a hurry.

Half an hour later, I limped back to my workstation. For some reason, most of my colleagues looked at me with sympathy. When I was getting water in the tea room, I heard two colleagues whispering.

"So Zachary really abandoned Lena to be with that Luna?"

"Of course you didn't see Luna this morning. She just had her period and her skirt was a little dirty. Zachary carried her to the top floor office in front of all the managers in the conference room."

The mug in my hand slipped and broke, and the gossip in the tea room stopped abruptly. I squatted on the ground and silently picked up the broken pieces of the mug and threw them into the trash can.

I worked overtime until ten o'clock in the evening and suddenly my shoulders felt heavy. It was Zachary putting his suit jacket on me.

"Lena, why didn't you reply to my message?" He didn't turn around, but just turned on his phone and took a look at the unread message: [What flavor of milk tea do you girls usually like to drink? ]

Three years ago, I also asked Zachary for the first cup of milk tea in autumn. At that time, he looked at me with disgust: " Lena, you are an old woman who is almost 30 years old, don't disgust me with such boring style."

But now Zachary took the initiative to bring me a cup of milk tea. Seeing that I didn't touch the milk tea and continued to work, he looked at me strangely: "Didn't you ask for this before?"

I said casually, "It's too late and I'll suffer from insomnia if I drink."

After a moment of silence, the man said coldly: "I'm going to the bathroom and then we'll go home together."

Half a minute later, Zachary's phone, which was placed on my workstation, lit up. It was a message from Luna: [Zachary, you big idiot, how can anyone send dozens of cups of milk tea at once? Brother, are you really going to turn Luna into a stupid pig? Shivering]

I got home around 11 o'clock and went into the bedroom to pack my personal belongings. Zachary took a shower and found that there were fewer things on the dressing table as soon as he entered the bedroom. He frowned and said, " Lena , I'm going to Paris on a business trip next month. If you have anything you want to buy, make a list for me."

I replied without thinking: "Don't bother, I don't need anything." I would be leaving in a few days anyway, so why bother?

Throwing the towel on the bed, Zachary looked at me coldly: "You are so angry with me just because I bought breakfast that doesn't suit your taste, right?"

I was about to explain that I wasn't angry when the man sneered: "You know I hate pretentious women the most, Lena, you've crossed the line."

Walking into the study, Zachary slammed the door shut. In the seven years of love, Zachary had initiated the cold war countless times and I had humbly begged for peace countless times. But this time I really didn't care.

Zachary stayed in the study all night without hearing a knock on the door. The next morning, I made breakfast for two people as usual. Just as I finished my breakfast and was ready to go to work, Zachary walked out of the study with a cold face.

He held up his phone and ordered me irritably, "Lena, I'll give you a day off. Make me an identical fondant cake before 5pm."
