He was silent for a long time, just silently brewing the bottles and sorting out the garbage, then slowly walked to Noah's crib and stared at him quietly.
"Lynn, I understand your resentment towards me. But are you really willing to let Noah grow up in a single-parent family?" he asked in a low voice.
I glanced at him mockingly, "You don't have to worry about this. Noah will have a new father who loves him even more in the future."
"But, a stepfather can't compare to my biological father after all." He tried to argue.
"So what?" I sneered, "You, as a biological father, are not as good as other people's godfathers."
Hearing this, his face darkened and he fell silent again. I knew he was thinking back to the time when he hugged Ethan and coaxed him. I opened the door mercilessly, "You can leave now. I think Ruby needs your company as well."
As soon as she finished speaking, Ruby's phone rang shrilly, which seemed particularly abrupt in the silent room.
I sneered, "Oh, is this what you agreed on before? Don't call unless it's something serious? There are doctors and nurses in the confinement center. Is there anything serious that requires a grown man like you to help?"
He paused, and finally turned away, "Anyway, I won't agree to a divorce. My parents will come to see you tomorrow."
I closed the door, and I already knew the purpose of Raymond Jones's parents coming tomorrow. To be honest, it was really difficult for me to directly refuse the two old people. Since my parents passed away unexpectedly, Raymond Jones' family has given us a lot of help and treated me like their own daughter.
I sighed and decided to contact my best friend who is a lawyer and ask her to help me draft a divorce agreement.
