After the birthday party, Rachel pulled me aside and asked me why I lied to her. I looked at her in confusion and asked, "What did I lie to you about?"

She said angrily: "Didn't you tell me that you would acknowledge my identity in front of everyone? Why did you say I was your nanny? Shouldn't you say I'm your mother and your father's wife?"

I blinked and tilted my head to ask, "I'm not wrong, Rachel. When I say I have to admit, I mean I have to admit that you are the nanny who took good care of me. I never told you that I have to admit that you are my mother in front of everyone."
