"You want to divorce me?" Ivy looked stunned, as if she couldn't believe her ears.
Ryan said sarcastically, "Leo, this is your fault. How can you be so stingy as a grown man? You divorced Ivy for such a small matter. Is your love for Ivy fake?"
Before I could say anything, Ivy frowned and said, "Ryan, stop talking."
"Ivy, I'm doing this for your own good." Ryan still refused to give up.
"Okay, stop talking." Ivy interrupted him impatiently, turned to me and said, "Honey, I know you are angry, so I don't blame you. I won't divorce you. Give me some time, and I will prove to you that I love you."
After saying that, she grabbed the divorce agreement, crumpled it into a ball, and threw it into the trash can.
I looked at her silently, feeling mixed emotions. For five years, I had taken good care of her, but I still could not warm her heart. How many five years can one have in life? If I gave her a little more time, would her heart open up? I didn't believe it. And can love for a person be easily proved?
