Chapter 8: Love that cannot be achieved eventually turns into resentment
The night wind in late spring was chilly and penetrated her skin. Victoria shivered and realized that she forgot to bring her coat when she went out. The villa behind her was brightly lit, and the laughter and warmth of the crowd seemed to be isolated behind the closed door. In the parking lot, the starlight was sparse and seemed particularly deserted.
She didn't want to step into the noisy house again, so she wandered around, and her eyes finally fell on Theodore's all-black Koenigsegg, but there was no one in the car. Victoria chose to wait under the tree. As the night deepened, the sky became more and more empty and deep, as if it isolated the laughter and joy in the front yard of the villa from an invisible barrier.
Just then, she heard footsteps, looked up, and saw a tall and straight figure, slowly walking towards her in the cover of the night. Theodore walked to the car and pressed the car key. A figure suddenly appeared under the shadow of the tree, scaring him back half a step and couldn't help but curse.
