Chapter 11 A Carefully Planned Encounter
Since Victoria turned 17, Edward moved out of the Davis family and began living alone. With his departure, he went home less and less frequently, and his meetings with Victoria changed from daily warm gatherings to short reunions once a week. Evelyn always used his busy work as an excuse, but Victoria's loss was indescribable. This emotion was even difficult to conceal in class. She often rested her chin on the desk listlessly with a blank look in her eyes.
Her best friend once confidently guessed: "Your brother is already 25 years old, maybe he already has a girlfriend, and it's inconvenient for him to live at home, so he moved out so that he can bring women home to spend the night."
Victoria scoffed at this: "My brother doesn't have a girlfriend." After all , every time she went to Edward 's apartment, she had never seen any trace of women. However, until that birthday, she carefully planned a surprise, but unexpectedly ran into Edward kissing a woman passionately. At that moment, for her, it seemed as if the whole world collapsed.
