At night, I put on beautiful makeup and stepped into the KTV box on time.
When Jack saw me, he was stunned and came over to hold my hand.
Mona's face changed slightly, but she quickly adjusted her expression and introduced me to her friends in a graceful and confident manner.
Her long-distance boyfriend, with whom she often quarreled, was also there, sitting beside her with a lazy look on his face, smoking a cigarette.
The waiter came in, pushing the three-layer cake that Jack had ordered for her.
When making a wish, she clasped her hands together and smiled as serenely as a princess.
"I have three wishes! First, Brother Jack, please stop looking down on me for being a troublemaker!"
"Second, Brother Jack can't ignore Sister Grace because of me anymore!"
"Third, pass my fertility to my sister so that she can give birth to a child for my brother as soon as possible!" Before she finished speaking, the bag in my hand fell to the ground and a piece of paper slipped out.
Jack helped me pick it up. When he saw the "Precautions after Abortion" printed on it, his face turned pale:
"Grace, what is this?!"
He was extremely shocked, staring at me, his voice hoarse:
"When did it happen?"
Mona thought I had an argument with Jack again and came over to smooth things over.
She forced out a smile that she thought was sweet, and said in a tender voice, "Okay, okay, brother, don't be mean to me. Today is my birthday, and everyone should be happy."
"Sister, let me cut you a piece of cake!"
I took a step back to keep my distance from her and said coldly:
"No need. I came here today because Jack said if I come, he would grant me a wish."
I took out the divorce agreement and threw it in Jack's face:
"signature."
“That’s what I want.”
He tore the divorce agreement into pieces:
"Don't be ridiculous, Grace."
"Do you think I will believe you are pregnant just because of a piece of torn paper from a maternity hospital?"
I corrected him:
"It's not pregnancy, it's miscarriage."
He suddenly raised his voice:
"Why?"
"Just because I was busy taking care of Mona, you got jealous and beat our child?"
I sneered:
"I did intend to abort the child. However, before I even got to the hospital, the child was gone."
He was stunned:
"What's the meaning...."
Seeing my mocking look, he suddenly remembered the day he hit me with his car, and he was struck by lightning:
"How is that possible ?"
" I, I clearly braked the car, I didn't hit the child at all !" " Come on, let's go to the hospital ... the child must be fine !" He grabbed my hand and was about to walk out.
Mona suddenly squatted down, holding her stomach:
"Brother Jack, my stomach hurts..."
Her lips trembled, as if she was in great pain.
Jack didn't rush to her anxiously as usual, but frowned uncharacteristically.
He yelled at her angrily:
"What does your stomachache have to do with me?"
"It's not me who made you pregnant. Why do you keep looking for me? Are you crazy?"
Mona had never seen him like this before. She stood there in shock and even forgot to pretend she had a stomachache.
I shook off Jack's hand, took out the receipt for the uterine curettage from my bag and threw it to him.
" Look carefully, the baby is gone."
He took the list, glanced at it once and didn't dare to read on. He asked me in a hoarse voice:
“When was the surgery performed?”
I sneered and said in a voice that everyone present could hear: "The day you brought Mona back to our house to spend the night." Mona's boyfriend suddenly jumped up from the sofa and slapped Mona hard in the face:
"I told you to make more money, but I didn't tell you to cheat on me!"
Mona's cheeks quickly swelled up, she covered her face with tears streaming down her face: "I didn't!"
"I just stayed there for one night, I really didn't do anything else!" Her boyfriend didn't believe it at all, and cursed and slapped Mona a few more times:
"How dare you lie to me!"
“I’ve noticed something’s not right between you and your boss !”
Mona ’s best friends were all shocked and no one dared to step forward to stop them.
Mona couldn't stand the beating anymore, so she retorted:
"Yes! So what if I did it?"
"You treat me badly, can't I find a man who treats me well?"
"I tell you, Jack is a thousand times and ten thousand times better than you!"
Jack shouted:
"Mona! Shut up!"
He turned around hastily to observe my expression:
"Grace, don't listen to her!"
"You didn't come back that night, and I was upset, but I didn't want to take the initiative to look for you."
"Mona called me in the middle of the night, and I wanted to piss you off, so I took her home in a fit of rage."
"I originally asked her to sleep in the guest room, but she was shameless and ran to my bedroom in the middle of the night without any clothes on—"
"That's enough." I interrupted Jack impatiently and gave him a look of contempt.
"Jack, you are not a man at all. I look down on you."
