Maandagochtend om acht uur precies arriveerde Nyla op tijd bij Park Pharmaceuticals.

De HR rondde haar onboarding af en leidde haar rond in het bedrijf, waarbij ze haar vertrouwd maakte met de locaties van de afdelingen. Daarna werd ze begeleid naar het kantoor van de R&D-afdelingsmanager.

De R&D-manager, Genevieve Reeve, was een vrouw van in de 40 met een keurig kort kapsel. Ze was niet iemand die snel lachte, wat een serieuze uitstraling gaf.
