Lily stood up and asked me what I meant. I walked to the window and looked at those dirty homeless people.
I made up some words on the spot, praising them to the skies, saying that they had extraordinary temperaments and were obviously not like ordinary vagrants.
I also told her that the missing son notice recently posted online by the Shen family was exactly the same as the plot of a romance novel.
"Look, isn't this just like the plot of a romance novel? You all like to read it anyway."
Lily hesitated for a moment and only managed to utter a few words:
"What do you mean by we? Wendy likes to watch it, but I don't! Who likes to watch those?"
I raised my lips and said sarcastically, "She doesn't like to watch it?" Yes, she just doesn't like it on the surface.
In fact, she often takes advantage of Wendy's absence to sneak a peek at her painful literature.
Like Wendy , she deeply believes that she is the heroine in the book, and one day a lover will come down from the sky to save her.
The difference is that Wendy is overtly bad, while she is only slightly bad.
Lily took my words to heart, her fingers tightly gripping the window string, she was sweating with anxiety, and she wanted to rush down immediately.
I chuckled, patted her shoulder and told her that I was joking and not to take it seriously.
She looked downstairs and whispered a few words:
“Fiction is based on reality.”
I pretended not to hear and said:
"Wendy, how can just buying some bread be enough? We need to buy some meat too. I'll go and help."
As I was about to walk out with my phone in hand, Lily came to her senses and blocked my way.
She was like a dog, panting anxiously:
" Sophia , didn't you say you didn't get enough rest last night? Go back to your room and rest, I'll go down to help."
Before I could say anything, she passed by me, bringing up a gust of wind.
When I looked again, she had disappeared, leaving only one sentence in the air:
"I'm all you need. Don't come anymore. Go and have a rest."
Rest? No, I still have to watch the show.
