Chapter 27: Hanson's Emotional Indifference
Shirley glared at Stella, her eyes full of resentment. "Are you sick?" Her words were like a sharp knife, trying to hurt Stella.
Stella just smiled faintly, staring deeply into Shirley's face. Seeing this, Shirley mocked him again and again: "What? Hanson suspected that you drugged him? Stella, don't you think you are pathetic? Even I know that you are not that kind of person, but Hanson doesn't believe you. You gave everything, but he didn't care at all. Is it worth it?"
Stella felt a pain in her heart, and a bitter taste welled up in her heart. She had long been accustomed to Shirley's insults, but the sarcasm pierced her heart like a needle. Yes, even an outsider like Shirley knew her innocence, but in Hanson's eyes, she became a despicable person.
