Chapter 5 Hanson goes to Cloud City
At this moment, Hanson's phone rang through the silent air. Ann picked up the phone nervously, and then heard Hanson's cold voice: "Did you bring the person back?"
Ann swallowed hard and answered with gritted teeth: "No...Stella bought a ticket to Yun City quietly."
On the other end of the phone, Hanson was silent for a moment, then there was a busy tone and the call ended abruptly.
Hanson's face was normal, but he couldn't hide the coldness in his eyes. He found Stella's number, touched his fingertips, and dialed the familiar number. This was a rare initiative on his part, and it could also be seen as a way for her to step aside.
However, the other end of the phone was just an endless wait, until the call was automatically hung up, and her voice never came.
Hanson stared at the darkened phone screen, his expression unchanged, but his heart was already surging. She even refused to answer his call.
He then called another special assistant, Fiona, and said in a steady and decisive voice: "Check Stella's whereabouts in Yun City immediately, book a flight there as soon as possible, and I will pick her up in person."
Fiona on the other end of the phone seemed startled by the sudden order, but soon recovered her professional respect: "Yes!"
Stella has always been yearning for Cloud City, where the scenery is picturesque and the climate is pleasant. She plans to travel along the way and spend a month or so to slowly appreciate this beauty. The mountains in Cloud City are majestic and the water is sparkling. In the embrace of nature, the emotional pain seems so small. Her state of mind has also been sublimated in the baptism of nature.
She joined a tour group and went to Lugu Lake to see the most beautiful poplar flowers there. When night fell, she returned with a full load and it was already nine o'clock in the evening when she returned to the B&B.
Pushing open the door of the apartment, a slender and familiar figure came into view. She rubbed her eyes and widened them in disbelief. It's not an illusion! Hanson is really here!
Hanson sat there, wearing a well-tailored suit, exuding the aura of a superior, full of oppression. The phone in his hand was dialing a number, and when he looked up, he met Stella's eyes at the door .
"Why isn't your phone ringing?" His voice was cold and questioning.
Stella was stunned for a moment, then curled her lips and said, "I have already abandoned the previous number."
Hanson nodded in understanding and put away his phone. "I'll get it done when I get back. Now, pack your things and follow me back to the capital."
The corners of Stella's mouth twitched, and she subconsciously took a step back, with a clear look in her eyes: "Hanson, we have broken up."
Hanson frowned. "Just because I canceled the engagement party? You care so much?"
Stella pursed her lips and remained silent.
Hanson strode towards her and sighed: "I will hold a more grand engagement party for you. Don't be angry, okay? Look, I came to see you in person."
Stella sneered and stepped back again, standing in the corridor of the B&B: "So? I should be grateful? Thank you for your charity from above?"
A bitter smile hung on the corner of her mouth: "I don't need it! Hanson, I don't need your charity, nor do I need you as a person. Let's break up."
Hanson heard the word "break up" twice from her, and his face instantly darkened: "Break up? Are you willing to do that?"
His tone was full of condescending disdain, like a knife stabbing into her chest.
Yes , she couldn't bear it. This was a well-known fact, and Hanson knew it well. That was why he hurt her, ignored her, and ignored her unscrupulously. Even the people around him looked down on her.
It was all her fault. She was too in love and put herself in a low position. She made herself the target of public criticism.
She took a deep breath, raised her head and looked at Hanson firmly: "I can do it, I really can do it!"
Then she pointed to the door of the apartment: "Now, please leave."
The calmness and coldness in her eyes made Hanson frown. For seven years, Stella had always been as happy as a little sun in front of him, and had never had such a cold face. Even if she occasionally got angry, she would just pout and hope that he would coax her. He only needed Cecilia to pat her head to solve the problem.
However, Stella at this moment made him feel unfamiliar, especially her cold eyes, which made him extremely uncomfortable.
He felt a cramp in his stomach, rubbed his brows and suppressed his impatience: "Stella, stop it! You know I'm very busy and don't have time to coax you! Can you be good?"
The fatigue on Hanson's face was not a disguise. He flew here overnight and arrived at the B&B at around 10 o'clock. He had not closed his eyes waiting for her return. He had already lowered his posture and showed weakness. She should be content to go down the stairs.
However, Stella took a few steps back again and looked at him without any love in her eyes: "Hanson, I don't need your coaxing! You didn't coax me before, and I won't need it in the future! Let's stop here!"
After saying that, she turned around and wanted to leave: "Since you don't want to leave, then I'll leave!"
As soon as she turned around, there was a loud noise behind her. She looked back in horror and saw Hanson lying on the ground, his tall body curled up in a ball.
At this moment, a capable and graceful figure quickly passed her and came to Hanson 's side: "Boss, are you okay?"
Fion a scolded Stella anxiously: "Hanson flew to see you overnight and hasn't had a sip of water since yesterday! Stella, you are too cold, aren't you?"
Stella took out her phone and dialed 120 to explain the situation before hanging up: "I've already called 120 for emergency assistance, so that's not indifferent, right?"
After saying that, she resolutely turned and left. Fiona looked at her back in surprise and shouted, "Aren't you going to the hospital to take care of Hanson?"
Stella didn't stop: "I'm not a doctor, what's the point of going?"
Hanson's stomach was twitching with pain, and in his blurred vision was her steadfast back, not turning her head.
