Sophia said all the good and bad things to Alan, and Alan forced himself to smile as he ate the cake. From beginning to end, Mira kept looking at me, her red lips tightly pursed, and her breathing became more and more intense. She was very flustered.
"My husband wouldn't like someone who's good at talking, right? Then what about someone like me who's not good at talking? Husband, please don't stop loving me!" Mira's eyes were as direct as the one that made me throw myself into this fight when I first saw her.
This time, I chose to look her in the eye. Mira , you could actually ask, " Max , do you mind?" Then I would answer, "I do mind." But she still didn't ask.
So , the last light in my heart went out. I lowered my eyes indifferently and began to concentrate on eating. After dinner, we continued to split up. The new task given by the program team was to return to our alma mater to participate in the sports meeting together.
"Let's go to Max's school." Sophia said with a smile. The director team had communicated with each other long ago, and I nodded and agreed: "Okay."
Returning to my familiar alma mater and putting on my old school uniform brought back many fond memories.
"Max, Sophia, pick a sport to participate in!"
"800-meter run." We both said in unison.
I looked at her in surprise, "You chose this too?"
Sophia nodded. "This is my best project in high school."
" What a coincidence, me too."
Sophia and I had a great influence, and many students came to take pictures with us. However, the competition was fair and just, and the high school students smiled at each other .
"Brother Max, we won't show any mercy!"
I laughed too, feeling as if I were back in my youth, "Okay, keep going!"
In the waiting area, Sophia suddenly ran over. She untied her hair and put the rubber band on my wrist.
"Max, when we were in high school, we would give our rubber bands to the people we liked before running. You better do your best!"
I was stunned, feeling itchy inside, and suddenly a little uncomfortable. "Okay, wait until I get first place."
The race started, and I steadily accelerated and rushed to the first place. A high school boy was chasing us step by step, and the others pulled away from us. Halfway through, the boy ran out of energy and began to fall behind. Another boy kept his speed and passed him to become the second. And I still did not slow down.
During high school, I signed up for the 800-meter race at every sports meet and always won first place. I never gave up running after graduation, so this time I won first place without any suspense.
Sophia had been waiting at the finish line and rushed over to hand me a towel and water. I wiped my sweat with the towel and felt relieved. I encouraged her: "Go ahead, I'll wait for your good news."
Sophia smiled and said, "Okay! I won't lose with Max here." As she ran away, she turned back and shouted, " Come on for me!" Everyone else looked over and my face suddenly felt hot and I coughed dryly. "Go quickly."
At the beginning of the race, Sophia and I ran almost the same way. I was surprised and couldn't help but shout, "Come on, Sophia!" Sophia looked back at me and accelerated to sprint to win the championship.
I was also waiting at the finish line, handing her a towel and water and praising her generously: "Great."
We had no idea that the audience had gone crazy for us. We went to the podium and Sophia and I stood together holding the certificates we were awarded. There was a lot of noise around us. Sophia came over and whispered: " Max , we are going to stand together to receive the certificates this time!" I looked over in surprise: "This time?" We were called away before Sophia could answer. After completing the task, Sophia and I went to the homeroom teacher's office together. My former homeroom teacher found my photo album at that time.
I took the album and took out my own photo and showed it to the camera. "This is the first time I won first place in the grade. This is the speech on May 4th..." I introduced each one and Sophia listened carefully. "This is the first place in the running competition at the sports meet, etc..." I looked over and it turned out that Sophia was not far away from the photo!
