Caroline glimlachte en hield Gwens handen zachtjes in de hare. "Ik geloof in hem!" zei ze. Dit was niet alleen een weddenschap met Brie, maar ook een weddenschap op Kirk. Deze keer zou ze zien of haar hoop op de juiste persoon was gevestigd.

Met de hulp van de winkelier lukte het Caroline eindelijk om de armband af te doen. Meneer York was er ook eindelijk.
