Chapter 17: Once or twice, but not three times
As the night fell, Mark and Diana stayed up all night. The next morning, after breakfast, Mark went to the company, while Diana stayed in the hospital, taking care of her brother and father while sketching the design. The director's urging followed her everywhere, blaming her for the slow design output this month. In fact, it was not her intention to slack off, but she was entangled in trivial matters and had no time to spare.
Her short video foreign language course has been suspended for more than 20 days, and the comments section is full of accusations, questioning whether she has disappeared or is still alive but lazy to update. She never revealed the news of her father's serious illness, knowing that the joys and sorrows of the world are not the same. Some people may understand, but more people will only be more critical, thinking that she is making excuses and escaping.
In the morning, Diana found a moment of peace in her father's ward, spread out paper and pen, and prepared to immerse herself in design. However, when the pen tip fell, Reginald's cold and distant eyes flashed through her mind, making her heartstrings tremble slightly. She forced herself to be calm, and the pen strokes flew on the paper, as if flowing unconsciously. In a flash, a design drawing appeared on the paper-an orchid brooch, lonely and cold, just like "an orchid in the empty valley, isolated from the world".
