Chapter 1: Serena's Fall

On the outskirts of the imperial capital, in an abandoned factory, dozens of male corpses lay scattered, their flesh and blood blurred. The blood flowing from the wounds dyed the ground dark red, and the bloody smell filled the air, making it look like a Shura field.

"Tristan..." Ethan called softly as he looked at the man with blood oozing from the corner of his mouth.

"My wife is dead, you..." His words were interrupted by Tristan's harsh voice, and his handsome face was full of a frightening chill. However, when his eyes turned to Serena, they instantly became as gentle as water.

"She is not dead, and she will never die." Tristan gently held Serena in his arms and walked out of the factory steadily, as if he was holding the most precious treasure in the world. "Don't be afraid, Serena. I will take you home."

He stepped over the killer's body, his face grim and scary, and ordered: "Chop these bodies into pieces and feed them to the dogs." Ethan obeyed.

At the Miller family manor, everyone saw Tristan returning with Serena's body, and they all looked pale and stood there stiffly. They knew very well that the young lady was the lifeblood of the young master. At this moment, the Miller family was in despair.

Ethan did not dare to neglect and reported to Frederick immediately. In the room, Serena was wearing a white dress, her face was still the same, her long curly hair was lazily scattered, only the marks on her neck and the lack of breath indicated her departure.

Tristan sat on the bed, staring at Serena, his narrow dark eyes full of tenderness and affection, almost swallowing her up. The last ray of light outside the window disappeared, and the world fell into darkness.

He laughed at himself, his dark eyes like a pool of stagnant water. "My world is dark and dirty, but you are the light. Once I touch you, it will be hard to let go."

He stared at Serena for a long time, and finally leaned over to kiss her lips. "Don't worry, I will make sure those who hurt you die without a burial place."
