Grace Johnson and Justin Johnson 's mother died of complications during childbirth. One year later, my mother Cheryl Williams married Alex Johnson , my father. Their union was initially motivated by business considerations, but as time went on, a deep affection developed between the two. Cheryl Williams treated the twins as her own and loved them dearly; and Alex Johnson loved them even more, even willing to put down his work and accompany them as they grew up.
As for me, when Cheryl Williams found out she was pregnant, she wanted to abort me without telling Alex Johnson. After all, Grace Johnson and Justin Johnson were enough for the couple to love. However, Alex Johnson eventually discovered the secret and stopped her. When I was over three years old, I was born, and Cheryl Williams entrusted me to the care of Uncle Williams and Aunt Williams, the housekeepers.
When the four of them traveled, they were always full of laughter. When I was left alone at home, Uncle Williams and Aunt Williams would take me to the playground to play. It was never Alex Johnson who rode on my neck, but Uncle Williams ; when I cried in grievance, it was never Cheryl Williams who held me in his arms and comforted me softly , but Aunt Williams . She was full of the familiar smell of my mother.
The days passed one by one, until I was about to enter middle school, and they realized that their son was too silent and had no close relationship with his parents. So, they advised me every day: " Simon Johnson , can you be more lively, like your brother?" I looked at Justin Johnson's lively and cheerful appearance, and my heart was full of envy. I tried to make myself talk more, but I could never attract their attention. At most, I only got a perfunctory " Simon Johnson is so good."
However , Justin Johnson and Grace Johnson were not well-behaved. They would break vases, skip classes and go out to play, but they were still loved by their parents. At that time, I still had a longing for my biological parents, hoping that they could take me to the playground once, even if it was just a park outside my home; or that they could personally attend my parent-teacher meeting. But these wishes have never been fulfilled.
When I was seventeen, Justin Johnson brought home a little cat. I liked it, but as soon as it got close to me, I would feel itchy. So, I tried to avoid it. Once, the kitten kept circling around me, and I couldn't avoid it, so I had to pick it up and wanted to put it farther away. This scene happened to be seen by Justin Johnson. He thought I was going to hurt the kitten, and exclaimed: "Simon Johnson, put the cat down! What do you want to do to it?!" This shout called the whole family over. Cheryl Williams' cold words hit me like hail: "Simon Johnson, how did you become like this? If you don't like cats, do you have to harm them?!" I put the cat down helplessly, holding back my tears and explaining: "No, I might be allergic to cat hair, so I just want to put it away..." Even with my head down, I could feel their accusing eyes on me. The eyes were so cold that my tears slid down uncontrollably.
The living room was silent for a few minutes, and Justin Johnson suddenly picked up the kitten and said, "Mom and Dad, I don't want to send the kitten away. It's so pitiful. It took a lot of effort to get adopted." That night, I was sent to a hotel outside to stay for a few days. When Cheryl Williams came to see me, she frowned and said, "Simon Johnson, I know you are jealous of your brother and sister, but they lost their mother when they were young. Can you be more sensible? Don't have conflicts with them anymore." I looked down at the floor, without saying a word, and the tears I had been holding back could no longer be held back and "patted" on the floor. Finally, Cheryl Williams pinched her eyebrows, sighed and said, "Forget it, you should prepare to go abroad, so that there will be no conflicts."
