Chapter 3 Engagement Feast

Three days later, the engagement party of Wilson Smith and Davis family kicked off under the attention of the public. The news of this marriage spread quickly to every corner of Licheng like a spring breeze, triggering heated discussions and envy from countless people.

In accordance with Wilson Smith's usual low-key style, in order to avoid unnecessary disturbances, the engagement banquet was arranged to be simple yet solemn. The two families gathered together and shared a delicious meal, which was considered to be the finalization of the marriage. The venue for this banquet was the most luxurious seven-star hotel in Licheng - the Grand Court Hotel.

On the way to the hotel, Sophia kept whispering in Bella's ear, trying to make her show her best side in the upcoming meeting. "When you meet Charles later, you must take the initiative and try your best to win his favor. Do you hear me?"

However, Bella just lazily leaned back in her chair, half-closed her eyes, as if she was indifferent to everything around her. She turned a deaf ear to Sophia's instructions and did not give any response.

" I'm talking to you, can you be serious!" Sophia looked at Bella's ruffian look, and her anger could not help but burn. She really didn't understand why her daughter could always easily irritate her.

" If you show up in front of Charles like this again and mess up the marriage, not only will your grandmother's illness not be cured, but you will also die without a burial place!" Eleanor turned to Sophia and yelled, "Are you dead? Don't you know what kind of occasion this is? You asked her to come dressed like this, do you want to destroy my Davis family ?"

Sophia was afraid of Eleanor , and she shuddered subconsciously when the old lady yelled at her . "Mom, I bought her a dress, but this damn girl refused to change it. You know, she didn't live with me, and she wouldn't listen to what I said." Sophia cursed Bella in her heart, but she didn't dare to show it in front of the old lady.

" Take her to change clothes immediately!" Eleanor exuded a majestic aura. She glanced at the time and said, "It's too late. Wilson Smith will be here soon... Let's do this. Vivian and Bella are about the same height. Let them go to the bathroom to change clothes."

" Grandma, I don't want it!" Vivian stamped her feet and was about to cry. It was more painful to let her wear clothes that a wild girl from the countryside had worn than to kill her.
