The next morning, when the doctor came in to change my dressing, he was surprised to see me packing my things by myself: "Didn't you say yesterday that your boyfriend would pick you up from the hospital? Why didn't he come?"

I smiled and said nothing more. Actually, I had completely given up on Alexander since yesterday. Now he was just a stranger to me.

When I packed up and prepared to leave, my phone suddenly rang. It was a message from Alexander: "LauraDonna said she was in a car accident. I have to take her to the hospital first and I will pick you up later."

I ignored the message and didn't even look at it. Anyway, I didn't have any hope for him from the beginning. So it didn't matter to me whether he came or not.

I hired someone to move all my things to the door, and the taxi I took just arrived. The driver was very enthusiastic to help me load my things into the car and then took me back to the house I shared with Alexander .

I returned to this place that was once full of memories, but my heart was not moved at all. I started to pack my things. Each item carried our past, but now all of this has become the past.

I quickly threw everything into the trash can and got in the taxi again. When I was about to get on the high-speed train to City Y, Alexander called me.

" Laura, are you still in the hospital? Donna 's treatment is over, I'll pick you up and take you home now." His voice sounded a little anxious, but I was indifferent.

"No thanks," I refused coldly, "I'm already gone."

There was silence on the other end of the line for a moment and then Alexander's voice sounded again: "Leaving? Where are you going?"

I didn't answer and just hung up. A moment later he called again: "Laura, I'm already at the entrance of the high-speed rail station! Can you please come and see me?"

I saw his figure through the car window, but he no longer meant anything to me. "No need, we're over." I said and hung up the phone again.

Alexander didn't seem to give up and kept waiting for me outside. But I had already made up my mind to leave this city and start my life again.

When the high-speed train was about to start ticket checking, I sent Alexander a message: "Let's break up." Then I blocked all his contact information without hesitation.

Goodbye Alexander. My wonderful life has just begun.
