On the last day of my discharge, Alexander finally showed up at the hospital. However, the first thing he said to me was not concern, but accusation: "Can you not be so stingy? I sent you so many messages, why didn't you reply to me?"

I looked at him coldly without saying anything. Seeing this, he continued, "Isn't it because I didn't take you to the hospital? You yourself said that the hospital is only a few hundred meters away, so what's wrong with walking?"

I almost laughed at his shamelessness. We have been together for seven years, and Donna always "happened" to get into trouble when I needed her, and he always chose to leave me behind to help her without hesitation. This time was no exception.

" Fortunately, I didn't listen to you and send you to the hospital first," Alexander didn't seem to notice my dissatisfaction, "When I arrived that day, Donna was being bullied by bad guys."

I took a deep breath and tried to keep myself calm: "Is she okay now?"

"It's okay," Alexander finally smiled, "thanks to my timely arrival."

I nodded, not wanting to continue this topic with him: "So what do you want to talk to me about now?"

Alexander then remembered the purpose of this trip: "Oh, by the way, Laura , are you feeling better now? I just heard from the doctor that you can be discharged from the hospital tomorrow, do you want me to pick you up and take you home?"

I sneered in my heart. You care about me now? What were you doing before? "No need," I refused indifferently, "Since Donna is fine now, you should stay with her. I can take a taxi back by myself."

Alexander seemed relieved. "That's fine. Laura, I'm glad you're not angry. If you were always so reasonable, we would have had fewer arguments before."

I just felt sick when I heard what he said. Reasonable? When was I unreasonable? It's because he hurt me again and again!

Near noon, Alexander smelled the fragrance of food outside the door and got up to leave: " Donna hasn't been in a good mental state recently. I have to go back to see her and bring her some food. You should have a good rest first."

I still maintained my professional smile: "Okay, then take care. I won't see you off. Remember to close the door for me when you leave."

After Alexander left, the ward suddenly became quiet. I was lying on the bed, looking through Donna's Moments on the day of the surgery. The photo of Alexander sleeping soundly hurt my eyes. I left a blessing in the comment section: "Blessing: Childhood sweethearts love forever. But please remember, when you grow up, you have to learn to do things on your own."

If you can't hold the sand, you might as well throw it away. If the flower doesn't belong to me, I won't wait for it to bloom.
