While Ethan was accompanying Vivian to the hospital, I packed up my things at home. Vivian clung to Ethan's neck and even gave me a victory sign when she was carried out. I scoffed at this. Did she really think that she could still make me cry like before?
Fortunately, Ethan has never given me any gifts over the years, so I don't have to bother throwing away things.
Just as I closed the safe, I suddenly saw a small compartment below where our marriage certificate should have been placed. Thinking that Ethan never allowed me to touch the safe without permission, I immediately opened the compartment.
There was a diary inside. The diary looked quite old. From the first page, it was the day Ethan met Vivian. I flipped through the pages one by one, from junior high school to high school, every diary had Vivian's figure, and there was also a portrait he drew by hand. Every word in the diary expressed his admiration for Vivian.
Even when Vivian went abroad during college, Ethan still expressed his longing for her in his diary. And on the last page, my name finally appeared in the diary: "I swear to be good to you forever, even if Luna stops me!"
It was like a vow, and the date was exactly five months ago when Vivian was pregnant. This coincidence made me associate these two things together.
I closed the diary and smiled bitterly. I thought it was because I wasn't good enough that Ethan couldn't forget Vivian. But the fact is, he never forgot her. No wonder Vivian said I was not even as good as a substitute.
After packing up everything, I left a template of a divorce agreement and left the villa, leaving this home that had caused me pain for three full years.
