The first thing I did when I returned to D City was to visit my parents in the countryside. My parents, who had gray hair on their temples, were so happy to see me that they didn't know what to do. My mother held my hand, her eyes red, but she kept saying, "You've lost weight. Come back and stay for a few days? I'll cook you some delicious meals."
I smiled and replied, "I won't leave this time. Mom and Dad, I will stay with you and fulfill my filial duty to you from now on."
My parents' smiles froze on their faces, and they looked at each other with unspeakable worry in their eyes. I sighed and hugged them. "Don't worry, it's just a divorce. Your son has a better future!"
