Op het vliegveld werden we naar het platform geleid om aan boord te gaan van een kleinere privéjet. De royal jet was weliswaar klein, maar had geen gebrek aan luxe. De stoelen waren van het fijnste leer. Er was een zitkamer en een grote televisie.

Ik was nog nooit echt in een vliegtuig geweest, laat staan in een luxe vliegtuig als dit. Maar ik had op televisie en in films gezien hoe een krap, normaal vliegtuig eruit zou moeten zien. Dus ik wist dat dit iets veel uitgebreider en anders was.

Ondanks de grote ruimte om te mengen, leidde ik Elva naar de naar voren gerichte stoelen met veiligheidsgordels. Net als ik had Elva ook nog nooit in een vliegtuig gezeten. Ik had gehoord dat opstijgen en landen de engste onderdelen waren. Ik wilde niet dat ze bang zou zijn.
