I was unable to let go after all, and placed the letter carrying the past feelings in the most conspicuous place in the living room. I decided to entrust this past to Alexander Thomas and let him deal with it. In addition, I also prepared a divorce agreement as a final severance of this relationship.
Pulling the suitcase, I slammed the door shut. At that moment, the boundary between us was completely drawn.
Before leaving to meet my friend, I went to the hospital. Since two years ago, my anxiety has been getting worse and worse, and after the miscarriage, it became so serious that I needed medication to maintain my mental state.
The doctor took the report and frowned, as if he could kill a mosquito. He said solemnly: "Sophia, your condition is getting worse and worse."
" Really? But I think it's okay." I responded calmly.
To prove my point, I picked up the little orange cat that I brought with me and showed it to the doctor. "Now, I can touch cats."
The doctor was stunned, with a look of astonishment on his face. He remembered that I had said before that cats were my greatest fear.
That's because many years ago, in order to prevent me from being with Alexander Thomas, my father brutally killed my most beloved kitten and sent me the horrible photo. Since then, I often have nightmares, and over time, I have developed a deep fear of cats.
At that time, Alexander Thomas was always by my side, never tired of comforting me and leading me out of every difficulty. Cats, to me, are both a sad past and a ray of hope.
The doctor didn't say much in the end, but just silently prescribed a new prescription for me.
When I went to pick up the medicine with the prescription, I unexpectedly met the person I least wanted to see - Rachel. She held the medicine in one hand and looked at Alexander Thomas's bandaged hands with distress. When she saw me, she blinked innocently. Alexander Thomas' face also darkened, and the veins on his uninjured arm bulged with anger.
He asked, "What are you doing in the hospital?" I ignored him and tried to leave, but he snatched the prescription from me, opened it and took a look.
"Are you mentally ill?" Alexander Thomas seemed to have found an excuse, feeling both excited and distressed. "So you want to divorce me because you have mental problems."
Seeing that he was about to make up a big drama in his mind, I quickly snatched back my medicine, "Don't be so self-indulgent."
Maybe my tone was too harsh, Alexander Thomas rarely refuted. But he looked a little hurt, looking at me aggrieved. If Rachel hadn't been holding him back, he would have rushed over regardless of everything.
I quickened my pace and escaped from that suffocating place.
