I suddenly looked up and looked blankly at the psychologist in front of me, and my eyes involuntarily fell on her name tag: Rachel.
She handed me a glass of warm water and said in a calm and gentle tone: "Everything you have experienced is not your fault." This sentence was like a warm current flowing into my heart, and my long-suppressed emotions burst out instantly. I covered my face and burst into tears.
Rachel accompanied me quietly until I calmed down, and then continued the treatment. Under professional treatment, the frequency of my attacks gradually decreased, and I no longer subconsciously dodged when I saw someone walking towards me. At night, those swaying shadows no longer frightened me.
Just when I thought everything was getting better, Violet Smith suddenly came. The moment I opened the door and saw her, my breathing even stagnated. She didn't notice that I was abnormal, but just held the divorce agreement in front of me.
"Alex Brown, what do you mean?" Her tone was full of questioning, "You want to divorce me just because of such a small thing?"
I leaned against the door, the forgotten fear coming back. I barely supported myself and looked her in the eye, and responded with a trembling voice: "Violet Smith, this is not a trivial matter. You have never truly understood the pain and suffering I have experienced."
She continued to ask: "What do you think of my reputation? What do you think of Smith's family? Is Smith's family a place where you can come and go as you please?"
I gritted my teeth and endured the torment in my heart: "I didn't take your reputation or Smith's family as a joke. I just can't stand this marriage in name only anymore."
"You've caused such a big mess, but I didn't blame you. I even worked with Vincent to clean up the mess for you. What else are you not satisfied with?" She put her hand on my shoulder, and I dodged as if I had been electrocuted.
"It's not my fault!" I shouted excitedly, "You arranged the honeymoon trip, and when the riots happened, you left me and took Vincent away! When I was in the most difficult time, you abandoned me! I did nothing wrong, it was you who were wrong!"
After saying these words, I felt as if the huge rock pressing on my heart had suddenly disappeared. I could finally breathe smoothly, my chest rising and falling violently, but my gaze did not shrink at all.
