On the day of engagement, the morning light was just breaking and the air was filled with joy and anticipation.

Sean drove here specially just to meet me. Sitting in the back of the car, I watched silently as Nicole and Sean in the front seat chatted and laughed, seeming to have completely forgotten my existence. The red light was off, and Sean took the opportunity to hold Nicole's face and kissed her gently. She did not refuse, and her eyes flashed with the joy and shyness unique to girls, which was an expression I had never shown to her before.
