The next day, I went to the hospital by myself. While waiting in line, I saw Sunny ’s circle of friends again. She was pale and half lying on the hospital bed with a large bouquet of flowers in her arms. A big hand with distinct joints was feeding her porridge. Our wedding ring was still on that hand. The caption of the photo reads: "The president said that nothing can teach people to cherish more than losing and regaining. Because of you, I have become attached to this world. Thank you, my president." This time I didn’t like it because I have learned my lesson.
When the nurse called my number, the anesthesiologist asked the family members to sign. I picked up the pen and wrote my name. He frowned and asked, "Where is the child’s father? Isn’t he with you for such an important matter?" I pulled the corner of my mouth and replied, "He's dead." The anesthesiologist showed a surprised and embarrassed look and said, "I'm sorry, please accept my condolences."
The operation was done very quickly, and I didn't feel any pain because of the anesthesia. But I think it must have been painful when that little life left. I rested outside the clinic for a while, and when I wanted to leave, the anesthetic wore off and my lower abdomen began to feel uncomfortable. I couldn't help but hunch my body and wanted to go home early.
