Met de manier waarop mijn been aanvoelde, was mijn reis door de stad traag en pijnlijk. Ik leek niet meer te genezen, omdat mijn wolf om een of andere reden te zwak was, dus elke stap was een kwelling. Maar ik moest doorgaan. Mijn vrienden waren ergens nog steeds en ik moest het tegengif vinden en hen helpen.

Ik bleef in nauwe steegjes, schoot tussen verlaten auto's door om niet gezien te worden. Ik moest me niet alleen zorgen maken over schurken, maar ik moest me nu ook zorgen maken over James, en ik wist niet waar hij op dat moment was. Voor zover ik wist, was hij hier op zoek naar mij.
